Smash and Smash Some More

I'm loving this new Smash book craze...I guess it's a fancy word for scrapbooking, but much more casual - smash whatever you have in your book - it's nice to have a few stickers and embellishments, and of course, washi tape, but you can use print pictures off the computer, cut them out of magazines, and just save whatever you want..it's fun.....

Three of these books have been given to me - those people know who they are - it was very generous.  Each book has a category - starting at the bottom - Retro, Tasty, Nostalgia, Red Doodle and International.

The papers are so pretty

If you don't like the paper, you can cover it with other scrapbook paper or just smash all over it!

Whatever is important to you - you can smash it!

I bought a can of matches at an antique shop - because I used to collect matches but they're long gone so this is a way to remember that.

  4. And now I know what a Smash book is! I have 2 black ring books similar to that which I glued pics from my favourite magazines in before I discovered HGTV on the Internet and blogs! That was about 5 years ago. I still have them and reference them once in a while but don't bother adding to them now. I just don't have the time.

  6. Maddie & I were at the craft store the other day and she saw some Smash books and said "look mom, this is what Jill was talking about!". I think I will pick her up a few do work on over the Summer. I love what you have done with yours, especially the Pyrex pages. Did you know that I created that "Be Calm & Pyrex On?".

So now you have a piece of the Thrifter Sisters in your book!

  11. Ok. I have not heard of this. I missed the boat because I've been doing this for years on my own and calling them "encourgement books" and putting in pics of things I love, quotes, etc. I could be a millionaire! LOL I like the size of these. I have binders. I may have to switch.
