Love Those Blow Molds!

I hoped I would find a blow mold to match the Santa I found last year - well, my wish was granted, I was visiting Carla this week, strolled in to the Salvation Army, there was Mr. Snowman, the very same size as my Santa, I looked to the side and spotted the candles, now, I have never been overly excited about the candles, but you'll see why I had to buy them too.  I walked away from them, but quickly came to my senses and took them to the cash, you just can't do that!!!  I hope I don't see any more blow molds this season, or I'll be tempted - they're just so cute....

He's just in perfect condition, $8

$8 for the pair - the candles and snowman are both made in Canada

I had to buy the candles because Mom and Dad had them, I sold these a few years ago in a yard sale which probably wasn't a smart thing to do, but now, I'm wanting anything to do with old Christmas, I should have kept them!  Darcy is standing on their steps,al those years ago,  all decked out for snow but there was no snow that year!

  2. I love the snowman! I am on the hunt for some of my own to keep outside. I think that our dog's have outgrown their stage of chewing up all of my lawn ornaments. They have managed to leave my scarecrow alone so I think we are safe.

ps: the package you sent me is waiting for me at the post office. I can't wait to get it!

  5. I saw your blog on Old Fashioned Days blog and just had to comment. I am a HUGE vintage blow mold fan and just wanted to say "congrats" on your awesome finds! They look to be in mint condition! I had some fun at the end of this summer, finding some blow molds too. Just love them! Did you know there is an awesome website some guy put up about blow molds? I found it online once http://blowmoldsrus.webs.com/ if you want to check it out. It is fun!

  6. Awesome! Love the picture of the originals, the ones I found look like those ones, the NOEL is red, not silver. Awesome finds as usual.

  8. I'm so happy you have gotten your decorations back. I have sold things in past yard sales then kicked myself later for doing so. I think we get in a "I just need to get rid of everything" mode.
Your blow molds are simply fantastic! :)

  10. I've been on the lookout for some candles for my porch this year. I have a couple indoor sized blowmolds, but I am dying to buy some outdoor ones this year. Funny thing is that a few years ago a neighbor had a blowmold Santa and sleigh and I remember thinking it was so tacky. Things change!

  11. This was the first snowman I bought 17 years ago when we bought the house.

The year after that we got the candles!

My blowmold obsession started only 4 years ago, so I guess you're safe it's a time release infection! Lol
