Thrifting Before Christmas

There's still lots of Christmas in the thrifts, just not much vintage Christmas. Yesterday was 50% at Value Village, I didn't see not one item I wanted to buy, that's sad!!  I also shopped at my local collectible shop and came home with a nice sized Santa

It's the happy Santa in the front - I don't have one that big.

I bought the two ornaments on the right there too - the other one was a in a bag of junk that yielded two items, the other one is....

The little guy sitting in the middle!!  I spotted him in the bag, I had to buy it - the bag was only 50 cents and gave me this cutie and the bell ornament.  I found the other pixies last year, I know they're not old, but they're pretty cute!

Might as well keep picking up ornaments for the next wreath project!!

Another box of lights - for my light shelf..

I'm listening to this record right now - it's a Peter Pan 33 1/3 Little LP - I paid 25 cents - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth - nothing sounds like a record!!

I don't think there will be much more thrifting now before Christmas, I was happy to find anything at all this week, have you had any luck?

  3. I adore that shelf with the lights. None of the big thrifts have anything vintage this year...all my finds but one have been from the little shops

  4. I am a huge advocate for buying things that may not actually be old but look like it. Who will ever know besides us?!

Hope you are enjoying the holidays. Hanna and I should be listening to Christmas albums on her record player, but someone (ahem) forgot it!

  7. Look at that sweet pixie and nice big Santa. Love the records, too! I was going to come right home and write to you. I almost didn't go to the old thrift store this morning (I'm actually getting a little burned out! lol) But I went...and I found a pixie! ONE lone pixie! I was so excited and spent a bunch of time digging through the bins just in case he had a brother! haha! I'm so happy now. My Christmas is complete! (I know you'll understand!!!) Holidays hugs!!!

  10. I will go everyday...one of the managers says they won't be able to get all their Christmas stuff out before Christmas and they have so much that they are going to put Christmas stuff out during the year!! That was great news!

  19. I love your shelf of Christmas lights! I was at the big thrift store by my house yesterday, and there were tons of Christmas decorations everywhere - but not one vintage piece was there.
