Finally, I found something at Value Village - it has been weeks since I've seen anything there - a different pricer must have been working because these don't seem like their new normal prices to me..
A cute little Anchor Hocking Cereal Bowl - $1.99 - some nice red color on there for Valentine's Day. |
I spotted this and that it would be great for my swizzle sticks that I found - then, I found another one, 99 cents each. |
I don't know much about glass identification but these are marked Hoosier Glass, they were made in the 70's and 80's in Indiana. They're just a cute little size - only 5 inches tall.I'm joining up today with some thrift link ups - Junkin Joe, Thriftasaurus, Thrifty Things Friday and Vintage Thingie Thursday. I was invited to join in for the first link up party at Wonderful at Home - help Kristen out and link up your post. |
Snowflakes in the snow, how appropriate! I hope for you that pricer now has a full time job there!!

Finally - some Pyrex!
ReplyDeleteSnowflake rocks!
Very nice! I hope you are keeping safe and warm with all that snow.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty red cereal bowl! And Snowflake Pyrex in the snow is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove the swizzle holder!

ReplyDeleteI love your Pyrex! Did you get it in the Soo? That blue color is my favorite!
I haven't bought anything there for so long, until a couple of weeks ago because of the high prices. But 2 weeks ago I found a deal too and wondered what was going on!
Nice finds! I have the same Pyrex dish and find I use it all the time for baking, it's the perfect size. Like your idea for storing your swizzle sticks in the glass, cool!
ReplyDeleteThrift store pricing keeps going up here too and if there is a Japan label or Lefton sticker they think they're in the antique business and mark up the $s even more!
ReplyDeleteNice price on the snowflake dish! I love that pattern. Hopefully the other pricer is not working there no more and this new one is! =)
ReplyDeleteI love snowflake Pyrex! That's a good price that you paid for yours. I've noticed the steep increase in prices at Value Village as well.
ReplyDeleteLove all your finds,
ReplyDeleteThat Pyrex in the snow picture could be framed :-) Nice finds.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Jill! I love how you photographed your snowflake Pyrex in the snow~ very fitting!!

It's so funny that we can get to the point where we know when a different pricer is working! I said that the other day to my husband and he thought I was nuts, but it's totally true.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the snowflakes in the snow! :)
I got some plates at the Salvation Army that the lady at the cash said were priced wrong (too low). Oh well, honey, that's what the stickers say. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat snowflake pyrex is awesome. It's always so fun to see what treasures you find!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scores! I especially love...the swizzle sticks, actually :) Very fun
ReplyDeleteLovely, glad to see your doing well at the thrifts :)
ReplyDeleteCute finds, and that does seem cheap for the snowflake!
ReplyDeleteYou found some great deals. I love to go thrift shopping, you never know what you'll find. I found 2 PYREX coffee mugs today! It made my day!
ReplyDeleteI love the snowflake casserole dish you found. Can't believe the price!
ReplyDeleteVery cool finds! I especially like your swizzle sticks!
ReplyDeleteI love it when the different pricers go on duty and you can get a steal like that!
ReplyDeleteThe 043 is amazing! I have that same one in the larger, 2 1/2 quart size. I don't know what it is about me and bowls, but I found myself salivating over that AH cereal bowl. Great scores!!
