Pyrex Recipes in Red

Angel Food Cake in a Hurry with Strawberry Frosting - mix your cake in the bowl and bake it right in the 4 qt mixing bowl
Frankfurter Corn Bread Shortcake  - 2 1/2 qt. bowl - does not sound good to me!!

Rave Fondue with Quick Mushroom Sauce - 1/2 qt baking dish

Tuna Noodle Bake - 2 qt open baker

Spaghetti Supreme - 2 qt square cake dish

Lobster A La King - in a Pyrex Double Boiler

What a spread!!!

I thought the red dishes were perfect for Rednesday - there's always such an assortment of things to see...   These are fun to look at but I don't think I'll be trying them any time soon.....  Let me know if you want a recipe.... Hah!!

  1. I didn't even think about baking something in pyrex. I really love this post-and I love pyrex. So vintage and the colors are awesome!

  4. I love the red pyrex and have one red bowl in my nesting bowls. Pyrex is very handy to bake in.

  5. It all looks and sounds so good, and I especially like the idea of mixing up a cake in a bowl and then baking it in that same bowl!

  9. That was such a neat post! I lived the Pyrex days! :o) As a newlywed, I learned there was a big difference to pyrex and the new corningware...both do NOT go from fridge to oven! LOL! My sister would make banana cream pudding with vanilla wafers in the 4 qt. pyrex and then make a meringue and bake it in the oven. Best ever!!
