My Favourite Things from 2012

I've read blog roundups for 2012 - some people list their favourite posts, their favourite thrifty finds, I'm going to do my all round favourite things from the year. I've blogged about some of these things over the past year, some I haven't but I probably should have.  I'm linking up with Share Your Cup Thursday

Carla's beau and I made mustard pickles this year - it could be a yearly tradition now, they are so good.

Oh - my Mother's Day cake was good!

Home made egg rolls - we've made them twice now - I'd love to have a few right now..

Finding a few blow molds this year was big!!

I've been wanting a train case for a while, finally found one, I think I paid $5.

It was definitely my lucky day when I found six boxes of shiny brites for $1 each - I still can't really believe my  luck that day!

This complete set of pink fridgies is probably my very best Pyrex find, EVER!  And, I found them at Value Village.

I found my first Vera Ladybug early in the year, I've found quite a few since..

I bought this Gucci scarf for $1, I sold it on Ebay for $75 - my kind of profit!!  Need to find me some more of those...

In the spring we were back home on Prince Edward Island, it was a great day for sea glass collecting.

Last January, Carla and I saw the Princess Grace exhibit in Toronto - we both loved it!

I finally got to the African Lion Safari!

We made two trips to Michigan - a day trip and a weekend trip - the Soo Locks tour was great, the next time we toured the Valley Camp - what a ship!

It's so great having Carla so much closer, she wanted lobster for her birthday and that's what she had - the meal was delicious!

Our trip to Toronto and the evening out at Trump Tower with  Darcy was unforgettable!

The James Bond exhibit the same weekend was fun - now we're watching all the James Bond movies!

When we were all back to PEI for Mom's funeral, we ate at the New Glasgow Lobster Supper - if you love lobster, that's the place to go...

My kitchen was finally completed after many months!

I just love the corner shelves that Gary made and this Christmas one is just so beautiful - I hate to take all that vintage Christmas down.

And where would Christmas be without Carla and the two Darcy's - we had a great holiday.

Happy New Year!
