From the Flea Market

I went out to the yard sales on Saturday, it was a complete waste of time and gas, I had a list of about fourteen sales, a few I stopped at, some I just slowed down and looked, some of them, I didn't even slow down - you know how you can just tell if you need to get out!  Well, most of them were that way - needless, to say, I bought nothing.

Sunday we took a drive over to the flea market - or as they call it "flee market" - I had in my mind to get the other Scotch brand Christmas tape that I left behind the last time I was there - success, no one bought it, it was still waiting for me..  and because the price wasn't marked, today it was only 25 cents!!  So, now I have three of these, I guess that's an official collection, isn't it??

It's funny, when my husband and I look in a showcase, we see different things, he pointed these little figures out..  They're so ugly they're cute - hillybilly hedgehogs!  They were made in Korea, so we took them, two for $5, after researching them on line, I think we got a pretty nice deal.  There are a lot of these figures made by Peter Figuren.  What do you think?

And, that's all I bought.  But, of course, I have been thinking about something I saw, its been there the last few times I was at the flea market, but after posting it on Instagram, I think I was silly not to try and get it, if it's still there next time, I will offer less than $25, maybe they will sell it to me.  It's a beautiful pail and it's big,  the graphics are just so vibrant on it!!

I don't usually do a post of all Instagram pictures, but I am today, some of you have seen these already, you can follow me here, if you'd like!

  1. I totally understand why you keep thinking of that pail! The graphics are amazing, I hope it's still available to you when you go back. As for the price everything is negotiable.

  2. Cool tape. Does it still stick?? The pail is really something-- never saw one like that before. Those "critters" sure are different. Fun!

  7. Jill, I love the old Scotch Christmas tape, too. I remember when I was a kid that I always begged my mom for the dispenser if it was out of tape. I was just drawn to those plaid metal things! You so need to buy that pail. I love it! Have a good week!
