I Have a Blog Post!!

The last blog post I wrote was in July, oh, my - where has the time gone...  I really am going to try to make an effort and write a little more often.

So, this post will be back to my original type of post - things I've bought at thrift stores over the last while.   I don't buy that much anymore, so it has to be something cheap or something that really catches my eye.

A small Halloween treat bucket, 1980 is stamped on the bottom, bought at a thrift in New Brunswick.

I used to read Jack and Jill, I thought it was so great, a magazine with my name on it!!  I bought this at a yard sale in Prince Edward Island.

I really can't leave a little Santa cup behind, especially when it's 99 cents.

I was in quite a few antique warehouses over the last week, I saw so many vintage Christmas ornaments just like this, the prices are crazy, I found this box at a thrift for $2. I am so lucky I have all these old decorations that I do, because I hardly ever see them like this anymore, for my kind of price!!!

These bowls reminded me so much of my Delphite Pyrex pieces, they were priced at 2 for $1.99 - a great price, I think.  The only markings on them are 20 & 21 - that's it!!  They're like a Fire King splash proof bowl - have you ever seen these?

I bought this enamel pot at an antique warehouse, I've always loved the enamel pots with the designs, I don't imagine I'll ever have one of those, so this will be good enough.  It was probably the most reasonable priced thing in the shop!

When summer began, I told myself I would have 300 Vera scarves in my collection, it never happened, I used to see them nearly every time I went out, that never happens now!! So, after finding these two last week, I now have 300 Vera scarves.  Yay!!

It's not very often you find anything so ridiculously priced at the thrift store, not on the cheap end of things anyway, I bought this unused Bath & Body Works 3 wick candle plus holder for $3 - we all know how much those candles cost - what a deal!!!!

This didn't take as long to write up as I imagined - I'm really going to try to post more often.  Thanks for reading this post!!!

Thrifted Vintage Christmas!!!

I can't go to the city without checking out the thrift stores, even if I'm supposed to be Christmas shopping,  there just might be something wonderful, lately, though, the chances of that happening are not very good, it's all junk!!  I had checked out my three usual stops - nothing, there was one left, which I go to sometimes, but it's not a regular like the others.  I'm glad I pulled in.  Everything I bought I love!!

This is my second one of this particular cup.

I love this set of salt and pepper shakers!!  So cute!!  No markings on them but after researching, looks like they're Josef.

This little figurine still has the silver Giftcraft sticker on the bottom.  I can never remember which company the "G' surrounded by leaves is - it's made in Taiwan.

This stuff was all up front in the Christmas display, of course, I took a walk around the shop, at the back they had some merchandise that hadn't been priced, oh yes, I picked up these two boxes, how much I ask, $2 for the two boxes she says, then she got looking at them and remarked that they were old, I just said, I guess so, I just wanted to leave in case she changed her mind.

I was especially happy to find that Santa one in the middle, I don't have one like that!

Woolcrest - the old Woolco brand, we Canadians all remember what our Walmart was at one time!  These ornaments apparently don't belong in this box, they're too mismatched - they were made in Wales, I wonder if any of these were.

I was so happy I stopped at that shop - a good $8 spent!!

Joining up with Thrifter Share today!   Laura at Thrifter Share is hosting a blog hop next week, I'm taking part - it will be full of all kinds of Christmasy kitschy fun!  What will I share??    You'll be able to link up next week with all your treasures - keep it in mind!
