$2 Spent

I have a memory of a piece of chalkware hanging in Mom's kitchen, I very seldom every see any and when I do, it's mostly always all chipped to pieces.  As soon as I spotted these two pieces at the Saint Vincent de Paul shop, I grabbed them, except for one small chip, they look like they had been maybe never used. The two of them were $1 - I had the perfect spot for one and the other one is going to get a home somewhere in the kitchen too.

I think they're beautiful!!

I did make the rounds of the shops the other day, it was pretty sad but I did come home with another Vera scarf and that makes me happy!!!    This wingtip is really pretty, I shelled out $1 for it!! My Vera scarf collection now totals 217 - I love the thrill of the hunt for these scarves!!

  15. I love reading about the Vera scarves. I used to work with a woman who collected them with her mother (about 20 years ago). I frequently found them at church sales and thrift shops for under $1 and it was fun to bring them to her at work. She always said "I'll gladly reimburse!" They must have had quite a collection.
