I Shouldn't Have but I Did!
Really, I shouldn't have bought any of these things but I did - what could I do, I don't have a Daisy, it's just so bright and cheery, I needed it!! It's the 442 size.
If that wasn't bad enough, I took this 402 too - I'm not sure if I'm keeping this one. It must have been the colours I was attracted to that day, what is wrong with me??? I don't need any more plain bowls like this!!
I didn't buy both of these fridgies, I just put them together for the picture - the white fridgie on the right is a Federal one, it's quite a different shape from the Pyrex one. I've been looking on Pinterest and Flickr for an opal Federal fridgie, I haven't found one yet - have you ever seen one?
That turns out to be a perfect picture for Canada Day - Happy Canada Day to all you Canadian readers out there!
Great find! I had the whole Daisy set but sold them last year!! Happy Canada Day!!
ReplyDeleteDaisy is my favorite! Especially for summer :)
ReplyDeleteAs an old bowl collector, I GET it! I have no idea what my problem is, but I just love bowls. Maybe because they're not only pretty, but useful. Two treats in one!
ReplyDeleteI would have a hard time passing those up..such pretty colors!
ReplyDeleteA girl has got to splurge, and instead of buying flowers for yourself you buy colorful bowls! Happy Canada Day to you too!
ReplyDeleteThat daisy sure is pretty!
ReplyDeleteDaisy is cute. Don't think I ever saw one in person.
ReplyDeleteNever seen a Federal fridgie before! I like it. Happy Canada Day!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any daisy Pyrex, it is a happy bowl!
ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day!
They are all so cheerful looking!
ReplyDeleteI remember those fridgies from visiting my grandparents.
M : )
Happy Canada Day!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see a Daisy bowl it is always in a sorry state!
Like Cheapchick said: A girl has to splurge!
Enjoy!
Did you ever see The Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson? He HAS to buy The Catcher in the Rye when he sees that book. I feel like that when I MUST buy another white stoneware creamer when I see one!
ReplyDeleteI think you found some great things! Happy Canada Day!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Dianne
Oh no! Federal makes refrigerator dishes too?!! Why did you have to tell me that? :-)
ReplyDeleteErica

I love Pyrex dishes, and just about everything Vintage! I'm so glad I happened upon your blog while I was blog-hopping! I looked at an older post on MY blog that was about step-stools, read the comments and one was from beckyp at Treasures in Thrifting Land, so I hopped over there and looked up HER post about a step-stool, and YOU left a comment there, so I landed here to learn more about you! I'm your new follower!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you Jill, the daisy is so cheery, just perfect for summer. I've started using mine as my everyday mixing bowls! Thank you for sharing this at the History & Home link party. Take care, Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
