When I Was Born
It's my birthday on Friday so I thought I'd share a few of these old cards that were sent to my parents and I when I was born. I like to pin old cards on Pinterest, so I thought someone else might like to pin one or two of these.
There were also a couple of first birthday cards in with them. I like the second one, it has a feather!!
And, here I am on that very first birthday - and a picture taken of me last summer - still with that same round face!!!

ReplyDeleteIt's kind of a shame that greeting cards don't have the same level of...artistic craftsmanship?...that they used to. There was always so much detail in the illustrations. All of it in misty pastels, too!

In fact, two of the cards in my book are exactly like the first and fourth ones that you have posted. I'm going to pin yours to my Vintage board on Pinterest if you don't mind.
