Pickins' were pretty slim this week, I went around to all my usual haunts - no Pyrex, no Vera scarves, no Eloise Wilkin books - but I spotted this and knew it was coming home with me. I've never purchased an electrical item at Value Village before, but I took the plunge and paid $5.99 for this....
I did find two scarves for resale -souvenirs from Monaco and Niagara Falls |
The ice crusher is great and I am totally jelous of your vintage patio chair find.
ReplyDeleteThere is SO MANY times where I wish I could take something from the dump. But our dumps have signs all over and people watching to make sure you never take a thing from it. If you do they will probably chase you down. *hahaha* I can only remember the days about a decade ago where if you wanted to take something home after dropping off your "trash" not a single person cared. I once brought home a China dish set from the landfill. One of my best "trash" finds.
So practical now that summer is upon us!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to see the re-do of the chair. Looks good already. Nothing like a complete freebie.
ReplyDeleteSuper Score on the clamshell/shellback chair! My husband brought home one from an estate sale down the road that is in way worse condition than the one you found and he paid 10 bucks! Enjoy it:-)
ReplyDeleteLove the ice crusher and that chair is awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! The chair is so cute! Perfect to sit in while drinking something full of crushed ice!

ReplyDeleteLove the orange of the ice crusher. Have never seen one before.
ReplyDeleteOh and I admire anyone who can pick something up at the dump, side of the road, whereever. I just can't do it. But maybe it is because I haven't seen something that I absolutely must have.
