This was definitely the best thing I found this week - but I can't identify it - I blogged on the Pyrex Collective and put it on Flickr, nobody knows the pattern. It's a JAJ piece of Pyrex, made in England - and so pretty - it'll be great to use for Halloween next year.
$3 was the price on this beauty. |
I don't think these "mocha spoons" were ever used - I found some forks in the summer and had no trouble selling them |
I seem to be picking up any older and cute Christmas books - for those future grandchildren, I guess..... |
Russian Roulette - The Game of Chance, Bluff and Daring. It was never used, the money is crisp, the chips were never punched out. |
Flinch - never heard of it before... |
I bought the Santa and runner for $1 - the sticker on the bottom of the Santa reads - Brinn's, Pittsburgh, PA, Made in Japan |
I can't help myself, more Christmas books! |
I always like to read a Christmas book or two around this time of the year, both second hand and both probably read once. |
This sweet little Care Bears plate from the 80's is going to my friend, Holly. |
I don't need any more tins and it's not even vintage, I bought it at Liquidation World,it looks it though, and it was so cute, I had to buy the smaller one too. |
How often do you get a gift for browsing in a store. It happened to me yesterday, I was in the Christmas section at Sears, a clerk passed me this gift - candy, pretzels, cookies and tea - how nice is that......Junkin' Joe is back and I'm linking up here. I'm also joining the party at Share Your Cup Thursday |
I have two sets of the little forks that I have picked up at garage sales. They are so cute. Now I need to find the spoons. It's pretty funny that you found two of the same music box. It's like Heidi and all the squirrels from Vacuuming in High Heels & Pearls! What if you find another one? This is easily my favorite time of year at the thrifts. I've been going almost daily to search for vintage Christmas. As soon as I am caught up on the box haul posts, I will have to share everything I've found.

Great finds! I too have a weakness for vintage holiday books. Every December I do a book advent for my kids! That reminds I gotta get started wrapping my 25 books!
ReplyDeleteBTW great Pyrex find!
I have been checking the book shelves for Christmas story books myself. Even if you didn't get all twelve ornaments, the nine that you got are nice, and the price was right.
ReplyDeleteLove all your finds, but I especially like that Pyrex bowl!
ReplyDeleteWhat a haul! I love the (unusual) Pyrex and the mocha spoons.
ReplyDeleteFun finds, Jill! Especially like the Christmas Ornaments and music box. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the Care Bears plate. I have one... somewhere.
ReplyDeletePost if you ever find out of the name of the casserole pattern, Jill!
I'm buying my ornaments off eBay.. I can't find the ones I want in the store, so, eBay it is.
Love your santa and runner! You found some pretty great stuff! That Pyrex is interesting.
ReplyDeleteJill, I saw your post on PC about your JAJ find. I searched and searched and searched some more and COULD NOT find a lead on what pattern it is. If you find out, please let us know!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your children's Christmas books! It's become somewhat of an obsession of mine lately. How do you plan on displaying yours this year? I need ideas! :)
I love the tins you bought. It certainly does have a vintage look to it. You could always use them for gifts tins. I think that's what I'm going to do with some of my newer tins that I'm not too interested in keeping. I have a few new baking recipes I'm going to try this year. I'll just stock the tins up with goodies for friends and family!
Have a wonderful week!

ReplyDeletethe Pyrex is so fun. I have never seen a piece like that before. Yup, perfect for Halloween. I use to play Flinch as a child. Oh what great finds my friend. I hit an estate sale last Friday and found some fun stuff also. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
