I Found an Ice Crusher

Pickins' were pretty slim this week, I went around to all my usual haunts - no Pyrex, no Vera scarves, no Eloise Wilkin books - but I spotted this and knew it was coming home with me.  I've never purchased an electrical item at Value Village before, but I took the plunge and paid $5.99 for this....

A McGraw Edison Ice Crusher  and it works!!!  Turn it on, feed the ice cubes into the top,  and out comes your crushed ice in the plastic receptacle at the bottom.  I'm going to love sitting outside with my cool drink, full of crushed ice....  Don't you just love the bright orange???

I did find two scarves for resale -souvenirs from Monaco and Niagara Falls

Yesterday we had to make a trip to the landfill site or the dump, as we always called it.  We backed in, I said, I'm getting out - I have NEVER brought anything home from the dump EVER - but,  this is what I dragged home -what do you think?  With a little fresh paint - it's going to look right nice!!!

  1. The ice crusher is great and I am totally jelous of your vintage patio chair find.

There is SO MANY times where I wish I could take something from the dump. But our dumps have signs all over and people watching to make sure you never take a thing from it. If you do they will probably chase you down. *hahaha* I can only remember the days about a decade ago where if you wanted to take something home after dropping off your "trash" not a single person cared. I once brought home a China dish set from the landfill. One of my best "trash" finds.

  4. Super Score on the clamshell/shellback chair! My husband brought home one from an estate sale down the road that is in way worse condition than the one you found and he paid 10 bucks! Enjoy it:-)

Love the orange of the ice crusher. Have never seen one before.
Oh and I admire anyone who can pick something up at the dump, side of the road, whereever. I just can't do it. But maybe it is because I haven't seen something that I absolutely must have.
